I would love to see this happen again, with old Red, Barnhart, Howie and others.

Sounds like you have another event to plan!

It's already planned. We call it SCR XI.

Is Frank Spittle putting this SCR XI on?

Somewhere i've still got the halves of my AMT model of that car... my younger brothers learned about firecrackers with it. That is the same Bob Hamilton who had the orange 65 AFX Mustang earlier isn't it?

Yes.

The local Chevelle club (Springfield, MO) was having their annual get together this weekend, which included some track time, so Rob and I snuck away from work with Red Alert. ETs were so-so, but we had a blast.

I hope somebody refreshed the motor or at least put valve springs in it if you're going to thrash on it. Ever since we had it in our showroom in the late 90's, Bill has told each new owner to service the engine and put new valve springs in it. In fact, I think he had the springs. But it seems like it just kept getting passed around and rolling at auctions, and I don't think anybody did anything to the engine.
