Re: My Camaro
So like any guy who has been waiting 15 years I took it over to Orin at A2D (Attention 2 Detail) and started in on getting a basically Straight solid car to get shined up.

Re: My Camaro
OK so we found some goofy patch work that had been done to the drivers side door. A small plate of metal had been welded to the out side, over top of a small hole. I don't know why anyone would do that.

Re: My Camaro
Thanks. So our patch turned out a little better. A thin skim coat and a little sanding and it looked great.

Re: My Camaro
So here is the part that really got me down. The passenger side rocker was really wasted. It was rusted, repaired, bonded, repaired and rusted again. So we cut it out. I was really down about the car when we found out how ugly it was. As you can see it is just hanging there.

Here we are after the new rocker started to go in. I was feeling much better.

Re: My Camaro
Oh I guess I should note that (after I read my first post) that this is not an SS, just a base coupe, I am sure most of you have figured that out, but it is a 67 Camaro just like back in the day. I am almost happier this way, because I can drive it regularly and not feel like I am tearing up something rare. Even though it is not a BB or has some rare options, it is a blast to drive.

Re: My Camaro
OK, so after all the metal work was done and any large dents pulled and body panels aligned an epoxy primer a ton of fine detail body work was in order. This meant lots of sanding all by hand. All in all not too bad of a body for a 41 yr old.
