Default Would like to make a 87 B/M vette.....Any ideas?

Hello everyone. I am new to this forum but I am really happy that I found it. I have gone through 40 pages of your motion info so far and cant get enough. I am a average guy (kids, wife, house, average salary) and would never in 10 lifetimes be able to afford a real B/M car. So....I have this idea to create a "phantom" out of my 87 corvette. I have several questions that I am hoping to get answered from you B/M experts.
#1 Did motion make any C4 corvettes?
#2If they did, does anyone have any pics of one?
#3If they did not, does anyone have any ideas or thoughts as to what motion would of done (such as emblems, wheels, etc...)to the vette?
#4Does anyone know of any C4 clones that have been done?
I have seen the pics of the Iroc and as much as I want it to be time specific, I dont want it to be like that (spoilers, wings, vents). I want it to be muscle like the late 60's early 70's cars. Here is a pics of what I have come up with so far.....looking forward to any input, Thanks in advance, Chris

Patience, Laddy. You are only limited by your budget and taste for options.
Joel stopped building cars in the early '70s, so no C4s.
Paint looks nice, what are your intentions for the engine bay?

Ah...patience...I know but I have vette fever right now. Anyway thanks for not leaving me out there. The paint is a photoshop job from a forum member on a corvette forum. Here are some other ideas he came up with...

The engine runs really great so I wont be touching that yet. The car has some modifications to it and will run a mid 13 on a street tire. What I am looking for is some advice on what Motion may of done to a C4 if they had done one. Would the Corvette emblem on the rear stayed? Maybe replaced by GT lettering? How about the gas door and emblem? Replaced by a LeMans Cap? the wheels I am leaning towards and vintage wheel 17x11 rears with 315/35/17 and 17x9 fronts with 275/40/17.

It is very hard to stay time specific and still get the look I want with a 80's car.I want 1970 visual muscle in a 1987 package without the 80's tackiness. I am really tired of looking at non modified corvettes. I find them so boring.

I would leave it alone and when you're ready to build some more vintage, then put your money into a car in the MP time period.

You are wrong. Joel most certainly did not stop building cars in the early 70's. There were Motion cars built long after that... A member here owns a 1987 Motion Monte Carlo, a Motion modified 5.0 Mustang and Charley Lillard had a 1980 PHASE III Motion Camaro at one of the SCR's. It was a feature car a few years ago, and I think it's still owned by an sYc member. If you read the thread directly below this one you'd see there will also be an 81 Motion 454 Corvette at Vettefest this month.

I don't know if Joel had a hand in modifying any C4 Corvettes, but I wouldn't totally rule it out until I asked him personally...While I am personally not real hot on the idea painting Motion stripes on a C4 vette, if you like it go with it...

I WILL say your buddy has some kick ass photoshop skills...

There is also a complete street/strip '90 5.0 Mustang(Motion Cobra) with trick heads and blower unit which Joel finished in the early '90's --It was metallic blue with a large reversed power bulge in the hood to clear the blower.possibly stiil floating around..It was documented by Joel as the last car Motion built when it was completed.----

hey chris,
i like the photo shop pics!
ya know, the nice thing about owning a vette is that you can make one look like what ever you want. you go the carlisle, bloomington, ect .. and you see tons of new and different ideas and mods.
if you dont have the moola to get and older one and do a motion tribute/ clone then spend a few bucks on a paint job!
you'll have a cool lookin car when you get done without breaking the bank.
(just don't try to pass it off as a real motion vette !)
we'll come get you !!!

have fun and lets see pics of the car when your done.
joe
