Best Offer Accepted!
I am currently trying to sell my car, and after experiencing all the frustrations of E Bay auctions, I decided to try the "Buy it Now, Best Offer" format. I hoped to avoid the nonsense of non paying bidders, fraudulent and retracted bids etc.I set a Buy it Now price of $49,000, and received my first offer last night of $15,000. I immediately accepted the offer and sent this message to the buyer. Keep in mind my car is a white 62 Bel Air with red interior.
Dear XXXX, I have decided to accept your offer of $15K on my car. Here is a link to updated photos of the car http://cgi.ebay.com/NIB-1962-Chevrolet-B...=item3a5fe02457 Marc |

Re: Best Offer Accepted!
Marc, nice reply even if the guy sends a bogus check you beat him out of the postage and supported the postal service LoL

Re: Best Offer Accepted!
Wow.... even $15,000 is a lot of money for an old car with no radio, no heater, no power steering, and no power brakes.
By the way, love your real 62.

Re: Best Offer Accepted!
I liked this in your description......
"This car does absolutely nothing that a new car does. It requires your full attention when the key is turned on, and when both carbs open you had better be pointed in the right direction." |

(plus I love listening to the motor) |

Re: Best Offer Accepted!
I love that--your full attention when the key is turned on. My '55 is like that and there's no better feeling than driving it and having to pay 100% of my attention to the car. Even if it did have a radio it would never be on.
