Nova steering column
Would it be possible for a 69 Nova with floorshift, console, buckets to have received a steering column that has the column shift style linkage just outside the firewall but clearly floorshift parts on the inside of the passenger compartment?

Re: Nova steering column
If Im understanding your question correctly,I think you have the correct column. The linkage provision your seeing is for the reverse lockout. This would have a shift rod from column to a bellcrank and another linkage to the trans, automatic or manual. This rod would shift the column for the purpose of locking the wheel when turned off, turning on the reverse lights and starting in either park or neutral if automatic.Try turning the area where a shift lever would be on the column and I think you will understand.Hope this helps
