06D E 68-11427 WRN XXXXX 733 when i checked a couple resources, the 68 cowl tags seem to lack the first line as i described... any help would be appreciated |

in 68 the date code and interior paint codes are on the top line. They moved down on the tag in 1969. Greg

Th "E" is the interior trim code...probably stands for black trim.
The 733 is the for a standard black vinyl bench seat R-R Red Paint top/bottom

If I remember correctly, the trim tag will always show 11427 v8. You need to check the VIN nbr to see if it's a v8 If it shows 11427, you're golden. 11327 6cyl 11227 4 cyl. Nothing will designate big block on either.
