So I picked these up late last year and just dug them out. They are going to go on my fastback Mustang. Any idea what they are?

Thanks! They are super cool pieces. It cost me $10 for the pair at a local race track swap last year!

So what style came first? The flat bar or the square tube ground grabbers? Or were they two separate styles sold at the same time?

I think they were selling both at the same time, starting around 1970. I do think the ones you have Matt were available sooner, but by 1970, the Super Ground Grabbers were in production. Didn't Joe, the original owner of a silver 69 Nova SS have a set of original Ground Grabber on his car in 1969?
I'm not sure how much earlier the regulars were around. ![]() |
