Default Hurst Ram Rod and bench seats

Will it fit a 68-74 nova without having to notch the seat? I'm just planning ahead here. I've always thought these shifters were the coolest thing and would really dig one for when I do my 4 speed swap. I've looked for pictures of this setup, but it looks like not too many people use these shifters anymore, let alone on x-bodies.

It will fit but the bench seat won't go all the way forward. You will have to notch the seat IF you want full travel.

Thanks, that's good to know. I keep always keep the seat all the way back anyway so that won't be an issue.

I have to put me seat all of the way up when racing, or I end up spinning the Tee handle off mt ram rod. You might have an issue with the reverse shifter hitting tge seat. Nothing a gas wrench couldn't fix.

I put seat extenders in my 67 nova to do it. I am going to have to notch the seat in order to move the seat up what so ever. It can be done..................but it's real tight!
