Re: Interesting read
Nice to see the 3rd gen get a little love. Love that black IROC in the video. I'm confused on the listing of two separate 4th gen cars, though. Are they claiming the LT1 SS was quicker than the LS1 SS? Am I missing something?

Re: Interesting read
no mention of the 1st Gen Camaro Z28 (67 - 69). It would kick the asses of the production 3rd & 4th Gens. Yeah I'm butthurt cuz it own a 68 Z.

Um, a properly optioned 245 horse L98 Camaro can trap 100 mph and just touch the 13 second bracket with a decent driver. LT1 car in my experience will go somewhere around 2-3 tenths quicker on average, and an LS1 will blow them both in the weeds.

Wishful thinking. The 1st gen cars are out handled and out run in the 1/4, and top end by the 3rd and 4th gen cars. The 1st gen Z/28 gets it over on the later cars in the resale value department by a longshot. I had an '87 Iroc Z with the 245 horse 350 TPI and automatic, and it was scary fast. My son and I recently bought a 2001 345 horse LS1 WS6 Trans AM, 6-speed and that is even crazier. Not a big fan of the plastic interior but the drivetrain and handling are simply amazing. |
