Header ID Big Block Camaro. Appliance?
1967-1969 Camaro big tube headers with square flanges. I think these are Appliance headers? What do you think?

</div></div> These appear to be very Early , if they are in fact Appliance brand. The tube design, over/under, spaghetti style is first indicator, second are the individual flanges, thirdly, the Square collectors. What has me puzzled are the "short collectors" themselves. I've seen a lot of BB first gen from circa '71 & up...with a far different tube routing into a much longer collector approximately 12" in length. There were a few more manufacturers in '66-'67 using 4 bolt square flange and 4 piece and or 1 piece flanges,,,, Predominantly attributed to Appliance advertisements for the day were the individual flanges & 4 bolt .... Consensus; A Very Rare Early Set, looking to be in very good condition,,,, nice score for one who wants authenticity in design and period. I'd be thrilled having these on a 67-69 BB...That was modified asap, for drag racing or a serious street car. Tom

My 1981 Blackjack catalog still shows them as individual flanges

I have a set that appears to be same except has 3-bolt collector flange. They were from a Nova.

Re: Header ID Big Block Camaro. Appliance?
Matt,
I have a used pair that are close in design to the ones you pictured. They were bought at a swapmeet and marked with tape that says Chevelle on them. Think mine are Appliance since there is CH72 stamped on the tubes near the collector. The Appliance catalog uses the first two letters of Chevrolet in their MFG number. Picture of a flange with the Appliance MFG number CH 10 on them. 1976 catalog says fits Corvette. You might want check and see if anything is stamped somewhere on your headers......Warren |
