Default Very Interesting '64 GTO Barn Find

I love the look of this car...paint still looks a little shiny after all the filth and crap on the surface...has old bias ply tires and still has the spinner hubcaps and $2000 wood wheel, even. How about the 1972 NC state inspection sticker? Looks like it has been sitting forever, and the auction description is less than helpful. These are the types of auctions you need to check out if you're local...this car has only been bid to $6100 with the reserve met, and I'll bet it sells off Ebay when someone makes the seller a decent cash offer.

Auction states "no hood".

That's an important part to be missing and difficult to replace.

You are correct, though: wood wheel and spinner caps are a big plus.

And the title is listed as "salvage", which may mean there isn't one...could be a costly issue in many states now.
"No rust"...pic of inspection sticker appears to shows rust thru in the lower windshield channel. Common needed repair, but there may be other areas that need repair too, that aren't disclosed.

Underside of the dash must be a huge mouse condo with the shredded insulation on the gauges and falling out the bottom.
All common issues with a barn find status vehicle but, as usual, the seller is passing it off as better than it may really be.
Price, for now, is commensurate with condition and would be a worthy vehicle to put back on the street and just drive with non-numbers matching drive train components.
