Default 1969 1968 Chevelle SS SS396 14X6 standard steel wheels CODE XE

Hi again Gang,

I have a set of four 4 Chevelle disc brake plain steel wheels - the so-called dog dish ones available here. El Camino trucks too.

They spin straight and have only a minor rim nick or two as shown. One sat for the longest time face up and rusted a bit in the spider web as also shown. All lug holes good and not wallowed out.

I believe these are SS / SS396 plain wheels - they will certainly clear disc calipers - both four and single piston versions of 1968 and 1969. Will fit many other GM cars of the era as well of course.

Three are Kelsey Hayes rims, one is an NI Norris Industries N19; see photos.

Not getting any easier to find, these...

A couple of the "XE" stamp are lighter, as shown. Clearer in person; takes some imagination through these photos; sorry about that.

The inside hoops and beads of the wheels are very nice - I recently removed three ancient tires.

Two bumps by the valve stem hole on all as well, of course.

These are absolutely as found, and I suspect, original black paint - but, of course, I cannot be totally sure on that - just using context clues.

Take a look at the photos again, these are hard to find rims anymore, IMHO.

Could be vigorously cleaned and used as-is - these are priced less than repops... also, a good starting point to totally restore as well.

Cheers Friends,
Anthony
