This bad a$$ GM Performance ZZ572 V8 crate engine with Hilborn 8-Stack electronic fuel injection dyno tested with 651hp @5400 RPM and 701 lbs-ft of torque @4400 RPM. The dyno sheet and dyno video from January 2025 are included. Built to dominate, the ZZ572 is the ultimate expression of GM Performance's engineering capability wrapped up in a soul-stirring combination of performance and attitude. This engine was originally ordered directly from GM Performance as a new ZZ572/620 Deluxe crate engine. It was installed in a 1960 Cadillac Series 62 Custom Coupe that was completed in 2024. MS CLASSIC CARS purchased the 60' Caddy as a fresh build with 1 mile on the odometer. The team at MS CLASSIC CARS decided the 60' Caddy would be better suited with a new Supercharged LS3 based on the style of the vehicle. The new ZZ572 was removed, dyno tested and placed on an engine stand as seen in the gallery.

The GM Performance ZZ572 part number #19331583 is a 572 cu.in (9.4L) cast iron Chevy tall- deck big-block with 4-bolt main caps. It's built with a forged steel crankshaft and connecting rods, forged aluminum pistons and rocker arms with a hydraulic roller camshaft. It's equipped with aluminum rectangular port cylinder heads with 118cc chambers. The 9.6:1 compression ratio allows for the engine to run on high octane pump gas. It's also equipped with an aluminum water pump. The original GM Performance intake part number #88961161 was removed and included. It was outfitted with a new Hilborn 8-stack electronic fuel injection system. The stacks and screens were finished in Bronze Cerakote for the ultimate appearance. The fuel management is operated with a new Holley HP EFI ECU which is included. The original orange valve covers were replaced by a set of aluminum finned valve covers. The valve covers, breathers and coolant reservoir were also finished to Bronze Cerakote. The front of the engine was dressed with a Vision Impact Performance Turbo Trac serpentine system including brackets and pulleys. The bottom of the engine was outfitted with a Milodon oil pan. It's equipped with a MSD electronic ignition system including a 6AL box, Blaster 2 coil, Street Fire black wires along with a dual sync distributor for the sequential fuel injection. Some of the other parts include the flex plate, AC compressor, WIX oil filter, fuel regulator, Weldon High Performance fuel pump and Powermaster Power Max Plus starter. It's equipped with Summit fittings and braided lines. A Dynamic 2200 stall converter is included.

Please note all of the accessories were mocked up for display purposes only and would need to be correctly installed for operation. Also, the engine was dyno tested with a custom 750 cfm carburetor.
