Andrew:

You didn't post a link to the other picture I sent! This other picture isn't Supercar related, but I feel it's the neatest picture on that site: http://www.racewaypark.com/images/ga...AGE-1-COPY.jpg

Default YENKOs in

I recieved a cool e-mail from Rob Clary the other day, Rob told me that he liked one of the photos that were featured in the photo gallery for Raceway Park's website www.racewaypark.com . I thought that everyone would get a kick out of it. We have a racing class that runs on friday nights called "Jesel Valvetrain Top Street", the cars have to run mufflers and full interiors and have to be streetable. John Larue is a racer at the track that builds very well detailed cars, a few years ago he built this Nova and wanted it to make it something special, he said that he wanted his car to resemble one of the biggest terrors of all time the 1969 Yenko 427 Nova so here it is: http://www.racewaypark.com/images/ga...JOHN-LARUE.jpg ,the car runs low 9 second runs on a quarter mile track. The car is NOT a real Yenko, but, none of us would want to cut up a real Yenko to make a race car. P.S.: John NEVER presents the Nova as a real Yenko!

Guys,
The two gentlemen that take many of the photos at RP are well known for many of the most famous drag racing pictures ever taken. Dave Milcarek and Steve Bell have been in the photo taking buisness for 30+ years, they own and operate a photo store at RP and are always eager to share info with true enthusiasts (they are some of the easiest guys to talk to), if anyone ever wants any info on purchasing pictures,I am going to post a # and address so that you can get in touch with them. In the mean time check out the cover photo for this site www.mysterion.net and also take the time to look up the vintage Dickie Harrell photos on the page too.
