I AM INSTALLING A BIG BLOCK IN A 1969 FULL-SIZE AND WAS WONDERING IF I NEED TO CHANGE THE FRAME MOUNTS OR WILL THE STOCK SMALL BLOCK MOUNTS WORK? SOMEONE HAS TOLD ME THE ENGINE MAY SIT BACK TO FAR WITH THE SMALL BLOCK MOUNTS, AND COULD CAUSE CLEARANCE ISSUES WITH THE POWER BRAKE BOOSTER. ANY THOUGHTS OR ADVICE?
THANKS MIKE

I've "heard" you can use the small block frame mounts in a Nova and get away with it. Something about setting the engine back and better weight transfer or something...
I'd say there should be plenty of room in a big car, but I'm sure someone else here knows for sure. |
