Default 69 Camaro- Plain Jane, etc.

I'm looking for a 69 Camaro- Preferrably a Plain Jane (I like that front end the best) All engines and trans. considered. Must be running and driving . . . and some to little rusting. Paint is optional--doesn't need it. Only looking to spend about $5000, or partial trade for a 1976 Camaro (over $6,000 invested- ask for descripton). Looking for a first gen camaro that I can just take out to drive, no matter what the condition.

How far are you willing to travel? There was a 69 SS out here last month, crappy looking repaint, little rust, but a decent driver for $5500.

I don't think I'd be able to arrange transportation like that. Thanks for the lead though, I really appreciate it. I'm trying to find something closer to home . . .

In the auto trader on line there is one in Houston Texas for $2995.00 runs and drives and typical rust so it says. Also I understand it is an X11 on the trim tag.

Ummm, what's that supposed to mean? Possible COPO Klone?

That's pretty much my plan, eventually get a 427 in that baby, and let it shred some tires. . .

Of course, I don't intend to pass it off as genuine, I just want awesome performance, with some nostalgia thrown in.

the one for sale at 120k is clearly stated as a "clone" , i also would never represent something as an authentic piece if it was not.
