Default B-J Deal of the century?

Speed Channel stopped airing the auction before this one rolled across:
1964 DODGE POLARA HEMI 330 FACTORY LIGHTWEIGHT

...Now, take a peek at the selling price for lot #1584:
Auction results

Is it possible that I could have had a factory race hemi in my garage for under 15K!!!??? Or is this result missing a "0"?

WOW!!!!!! the motor alone is worth a bunch more. Some of the Sunday cars are repeats because the buyers fell through. They get re-auction. Some of those guys took a beating.

I find it hard to believe the owner would allow this car to be sold to another for that amount.
I would imagine he was standing right there when the low offers were being taken, and he was the last person who raised his hand on the final bid,not allowing it to be sold to another for that low amount.
Yes he has to Pay 16% of that back,(8% Sellers & 8% Buyers) but it's worth it..don't you think.

Yeah, I was guessing that it was probably just missing a zero.

I'm betting the buyer & seller would've preferred to pay the 8% on the 'typo' price.

and, I heard rumors that the car was perhaps not equipped with its original body (from a prior owner).

I loved the car, but, knowing what I heard, I left to head back to reality rather than stay and bid!! LOL
