That is cool! Love the old road race cars. I had heard about a car that was in the NY/PA border region a few years ago and I wonder if this was the car. I thought the owner had passed away and his family was selling his car.

Re: '68 Z-28 Trans-Am racer on eBay
Boy oh Boy that thing is awesome, looks like it has over the "Factory" headers as well. I love those Vintage T/A cars. Just something about the T/A series back then... all of the privateers... buying cars from the local Chevrolet dealer, slapping a cage in them and racing... just doesn't happen quite like that any longer. Imagine if the current T/A series had to use a showroom chassis modified with a cage and frame connectors... those guys would be singing the blues... used to be about innovation and pushing the envelope... now it is about throwing lots of money (F1) or slowing down the fast cars so that they are more evenly matched (Nascar).

Read the question and answers. Some smart people looking. Everything looks legit. Question, did rollers come out in the early 70's? I rememeber people putting on needle bearing Ford Rockers back then. Also, does the fuel cell look like it was dropped in? Very cool car!

Re: '68 Z-28 Trans-Am racer on eBay
Just noticed it's in Carmel...about 5 minutes from my home.
Maybe I'll try to arrange to see it this wknd. I know a lot of vintage T/A guys and I have never seen this car.Imagine that...and right under my nose.

Pete Dodd, was one of the salesmen at Village Chevrolet. The seller says Pete raced this car.

I helped the seller research the history of his car. Those are Stahl headers, verified by Jere Stahl as sold to Pete Dodd in '69.
