LAPD Car Show

We attended the Los Angeles Police Department car and motorcycle show Saturday held at the Hanson Dam recreation center here in Southern California. Besides the wide variety of muscle and customs they had Police cars and motorcycles on display and plenty of action including a Fire department rescue demonstration using the Hurst tool, parachutists, fly byes, good food and music. The weather was in the low eighties with a slight breeze and we parked in the shade, everybody was great and we had an enjoyable day.

































This car was on the cover of Rod & Custom and the date was April 1969

This was one of the Police cars involved in the Bank of America shootout in '97.

Hi Bruce! As a matter of fact Mark and the guy with the Hugger car, his name is also Mark, both won trophies. I was lucky enough to receive the thanks for stopping by award. We had a blast with the Helicopter crew as they hung out with us for a while after we found out that they were dropping water on Mark's house in that last Malibu fire in October. Very nice guys.
