By 2:00 PM we had started the stick build, after 4 trips to Home Depot (less than a mile away) to get the right materials.
Like everything else on this building project we over build, level and plum. If 2x6's are called for we used 2x8. If 3 boards on the header are called for we use 4. Header gets screwed, glued and power nailed ,with Lloyd emptying the chamber several times. The way he works that power nailer I swear he wants to be an artillery gunner. The level on top of the header is picture perfect, given the age of the building this was a major accomplishment. ![]() By 5:30 Saturday we were framed!! ![]() Time for a meal, tidy up tools, go home and feed the dog.
