There were about 175 Yenko Deuces made with that motor...they were not SS cars, but rather a COPO ordered vehicle specially built for Yenko Chevrolet. The L48 350/300 horse small block was the most powerful (and only) "small block motor" available in the 70 SS Nova.
There are some real Deuce experts here who can tell you the whole story... wilma

What's the VIN nbr? Original color, original selling dealer? Trans, and code off the rear end?
It wouldn't be the 1st deuce to loose it's stripes, and be cloned into a SS. |

Bus...Welcome to the site. Here is a link to the 70 Yenko Deuce vin list.
https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/ubbt...LIST#Post72575 They are pretty much the only LT1 Novas built so unless your Dad has a one off type car he is probably mistaken.Pics of the engine stampings etc would help us sort it out for you. There are #'s stamped on the block just below the alternator.
